Welcome Message & a little about our aims

Welcome and thank you for dropping in! This website was initially set-up back in 2006 and it is still run, updated, maintained and paid for by a private individual to help the Asian community in READING in the Royal County of BERKSHIRE (UK) to share information and promote local events. It has since evolved somewhat but the main focus is still (a) ASIAN COMMUNITY IN BERKSHIRE (b) ALTERNATIVE GLOBAL NEWS VIEWS.

(a) MIRAJ.ORG provide information for and about the asian community in the READING Area, UK to help facilitate information sharing between community members, councils, businesses and other organisations that may find such information useful. Based in READING, with the initial focus on the Royal County of BERKSHIRE but we welcome contributions nationwide and from ex-pats (ie those with links to BERKSHIRE that have now moved out of town). We cover local news, issues, sports, community centres, mosques, classes and functions, links to other organisations, future events and photo/video highlights of past events.

(b) MIRAJ.ORG aims to delve deep into cyberspace, cutting and pasting through all the propaganda, lies and deceits to bring you alternative version of the news that is much more balanced and closer to the ground reality and truth. We aim to bring you News and views you won’t find on BBC, ITV, CNN, FOX NEWS or SKY! —- Real Communities, Real News… No Spin, No Illusions —-
